John Galante

Managing Director of National Accounts, Year Up United

John Galante serves as Managing Director of National Accounts at Year Up United, where he helps advance strategic employer partnerships and expand career pathways for young adults. Drawing on decades of leadership experience in financial services, technology, digital transformation, and workforce development, he works closely with leading employers to strengthen talent pipelines and support economic opportunity. 

John joined Year Up United in 2017 as a Senior Advisor to the organization's Corporate Engagement teams, helping secure significant new partnerships across the financial services sector. In 2020, he assumed the role of Managing Director for Financial Services, building relationships with employers and advancing industry engagement efforts that connect talent with in-demand career opportunities. 

Prior to joining Year Up United, John spent 13 years at JPMorgan Chase, where he held several senior technology leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer for the Consumer and Business Banking divisions, leading the technology strategy that transformed Chase branches into a client-focused, self-directed digital banking environment. Previously, as Chief Information Officer for Chase Wealth Management, he led the implementation of the Chase Private Client platform. Throughout his tenure, he oversaw the development and implementation of technology solutions supporting businesses including custody, clearing, fund administration, and hedge fund services. 

In addition to his executive responsibilities, John served as Executive Sponsor of the JPMorgan Chase and Year Up partnership. Through this collaboration, JPMorgan Chase hosted thousands of Year Up interns and converted many participants into full-time employees, helping expand access to careers in financial services. 

Before joining JPMorgan Chase in 2004, John served as Chief Information Officer of Worldwide Securities Services at Citigroup. Earlier in his career, he held senior management positions at Merrill Lynch and Salomon Brothers. 

John's areas of expertise include financial services, technology strategy, digital transformation, workforce development, employer partnerships, wealth management, banking operations, and executive leadership. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Long Island University. John and his wife, Fran, have been married for more than 40 years and have four daughters and nine grandchildren.
